Jerry Rescue is a WSET-certified sommelier, cultural curator and creative
entrepreneur whose work sits at the intersection of education, storytelling and
social impact. A Rochester native with national experience, Jerry is the founder

of The Rescue Wine Experience, a forward-thinking consultancy and wine
education platform designed to celebrate culture, deepen community and make
wine more accessible to all—without compromising depth or sophistication.

With over a decade of industry experience and a WSET Sommelier Certification,
Jerry’s journey began in the world of music and evolved to include hospitality,
wine consulting, retail activation and brand storytelling. His professional path took
him to Los Angeles, where he sharpened his skills in some of the city’s most
exclusive tasting rooms and cultural events. There, he poured for celebrities,
elected officials and tastemakers alike—including Oscar-winner Cate Blanchett,
NBA legend James Worthy, actor-director Nate Parker, Emmy-winner
Sterling K. Brown, and current Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass. These

moments helped shape Jerry’s ability to deliver hospitality with precision,
presence and purpose.

Now back in his hometown of Rochester, Jerry’s mission is to help reshape the

narrative around wine by highlighting its intersections with identity, history, music
and community. Through The Rescue Wine Experience, and his broader media
and events platform Unlearn Productions, Jerry consults for retailers, organizes
culturally rich wine experiences and partners with artists, small businesses and
civic leaders to bridge gaps between wine, education and economic
development.

At the Vino Noir Wine Tasting, Jerry is honored to share two selections from
GV23: a crisp, expressive Rosé and a vibrant, well-structured Chardonnay. Both
wines reflect the innovation and integrity of contemporary Black
winemaking—and Jerry Rescue!!! invites guests to not only taste, but connect,

reflect and celebrate the legacy behind every pour.
